We are excited that you are looking to get involved at EBC. If you are interested in joining a life group, exploring baptism, wanting to become a member, or would like to volunteer, we would love to hear from you!
What should I expect?
Our hope for you in joining a life group is to grow in your walk with Jesus around people that can support you. We believe life is better when you live in community. There are life group options available for all different phases of life. Check out churchteams to browse our current life groups. If you would like help finding a group please contact Kevin Burrow.
Is childcare provided? Not all life groups offer childcare, but there are groups that do.
How often do groups meet? Life groups meet on different days and times throughout the week. Most Groups meet on a weekly basis.
Where do groups meet? Life groups meet in homes, coffee shops, or at the church. We will be happy to help you find a group that is right for you.
What we will study? Each life group decides what to study based on the needs of their members. Sometimes life groups follow along with the sermons, study books of the Bible, or do Christian book studies.
What is Churchteams?—Churchteams is our online system that helps get individuals connected to life groups. If you follow the Churchteams link, you can browse our life groups for more information regarding childcare, leaders contact information, meeting times, locations, and study topics.
People often have questions regarding baptism: Why should I be baptized? What if I’ve already been baptized—do I have to do it again? Does it matter if someone is sprinkled or dunked? Take a few minutes to read a response to these questions about baptism.
We believe that Christ loved the church and as followers of Jesus we are to be actively connected to a local body of believers. We believe that being a committed member to a local church is vital for each believer. At Emmanuel we invite all people to be actively involved in our church through serving in various capacities. Because we are congregational led church, meaning each member has a vital role in the life of our church, we value church membership. If you are interested in becoming a member please contact Terry Candler.
There are several opportunities to serve at Emmanuel. We want you to find the one that best suits your passion and availability. If you are interested in serving please contact our office and we will get in touch with you shortly. If you want to help serve in the children’s ministry or youth ministry we require a background check along with filling out a volunteer form.
